*He was No Face from Spirited Away for Halloween. Mrs. Bu loved his costume! He didn't trick or treat this year. He wanted to pass out candy
*He accidently deleted Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on November 11, 2021 and completely devastated
*He went to the Grand Canyon/Tuweep November 27, 2022 for the first time
*He lost his 17th tooth (left upper 1st molar) on December 09, 2021 and then lost his 18th tooth (right upper lateral canine) on December 12, 2021
*He got a Troomi cellphone for Christmas and loves to listen to Spotify on it
*When he laughs he puts his fist up to his mouth and laughs with a really open mouth, sometimes without sound
*He received the priesthood and was ordained and set apart as a deacon on January 9th, 2022. He started passing the sacrament that day as well
*He started going to Young Mens and Colby is his Sunday School teacher
*He started taking piano lessons from Katrine Baker and he is excelling
*His turtle, Tank, escaped and almost died and he wanted to change his name to Goliath, like David and Goliath, but it didn't stick

*He loves making Google slideshows and sending them to Henry and Dylan
*He hates Valentine's Day. He was asked by Audrey to be his Valentine and he said he only said, "yes, but as a friend"
*He loves doing baptisms for the dead
*He can't decide if he wants to do percussion or coding since he can only do one since he is doing Chinese
*He has been happy to put forth the minimum amount of effort in 5th grade. That may be because his teacher is out on maternity leave and he hasn't loved the subs
*He hasn't made the connection yet that it's not the reward at the end when you accomplish something hard, but the feeling that matters
*He taught a full lesson in Young Men's like it was no big deal. Brother DeLaMare stopped me after church raving about how great he did and how confident and at ease he was
*He followed the crowd and burned ants with a magnifying glass at school. When the teacher asked about who did it, he and his friends raised their hands and no one else who was doing it did. He felt like he was being blamed and thrown under the bus and started to cry in class. He went to the principal's office and called home. He was so sad. When he came home he wrote an email to the principal and bother of his teachers, Mrs Sparks and Bu. They all said not to worry about it and that Gavin is such a great kid who just made a mistake that day. They forgave him and had nothing but good things to say about him. His friend Lily texted him and made sure he was ok and that she was disappointed they got all the blame for it
*He is confident at passing the sacrament and tries to be very respectful and reverent
