Fishlake

We had an awesome vacation this weekend at our cabin in Fishlake, UT. It was definitely something that both Colby and I look forward to every year so we were glad that we were able to do it before school starts on Tuesday. It was a great weekend filled with a super long four-wheeling/dirt bike ride, lots of hanging out with family and a whole bunch of eating. This was also an awesome vacation because my wonderful husband was brave enough to teach me how to ride a dirt bike, with him giving instructions to me from the back of the bike. I am sure I scared the crap out of him but he tried not to show it much. Needless to say, without him I would have been laid out flat on the road. Thanks babe for all you do for me! You're the best husband I could have ever asked for!

Here are a few more photos from our trip...
This is the lake that we eventually ended up at on our humongous ride. It was beautiful... this picture doesn't do it much justice.

This was my attempt at being creative. On Sunday after we got back from church it was raining and I noticed that the aspen trees had streaks on them from the rain. It looked awesome so I thought I would make for a nice picture. I think I did a pretty good job, but I don't think professional photography is ever going to be in my future!

Our Vacation

We recently took a short but much needed vacation to SLC. After our last Salt Lake trip we decided to spend our money on a Marriott because the hotel we had on the previous trip was trashy. Although this trip was a vacation for us we still had lots to do. We were able to attend the marriage of Brad and Natalie Buhanan in the Bountiful temple. By the way, I think that is one of the most beautiful temples I have been to. Whoever did the landscaping should receive an award... it's BEAUTIFUL!! While we were waiting in the chapel to go to the sealing we were able to see Elder Russell M. Nelson.
After the marriage we were able to meet up with all the deafies from the New York North mission that Colby served with. It was so much fun getting caught up with everyone while enjoying their company and sense of humors.
