January was a great month for us. We were able to spend some time together as a family before Colby had to go to school. We had a low-key New Years ( I was at work all night) and Colby spent the evening with Gavin at home. The next day we bundled up and picked up some of the millions of pecans that our trees produced this year.
Gavin on New Years Day
As we were getting ready for the day I burped Gavin and he spit up all
over my shoulder and gave himself a spit up beard.
I love that even though it was disgusting he is still smiling like nothing even happened.
The first weekend in January we went down to Vegas and spent time with Cori, Matt and Jackson and had lunch with Kacey at the Yardhouse for his birthday. We went shopping and found this super cute church shirt for Gavin.
Our friends Brad and Natalie made this shirt for Gavin.
He finally fit into it so I had to take a few photos.

This is one of Gavin's favorite ways to play. My mom used to play with me this way. I can't wait until he gets bigger so I can balance him on my feet like my mom used to do. It's funny because she balanced me on her feet just before I got married, so I was 20 or so. She's one tough lady!
Alexis, Connor and Gavin at the school. This was Gavin's first time down the slide. He had no expression the whole time so I guess he didn't really care to much for it.
Caleb and Gavin

I walked into the bedroom the other day and Colby was playing with Gavin before we put him to bed. He was trying so hard to get Colby's mouth. I love watching them interact with each other. I will hand Gavin over to Colby sometimes just so I can see how much fun they have together.
Gavin and I
Gavin holding his toy for the first time. I put it on his leg and looked over and saw this. I can't believe how quickly he's growing up!
Spit Goatee. He's become a master of these this month.
Gavin and I have been taking daily walks when it's warm enough outside. He loves them, but usually is asleep towards the end. He looks huge in his stroller now with his little feet hanging out the bottom.
Colby and I walked in after Gavin woke up from a nap to find him like this. He has been bringing everything up to his face lately and hasn't quite figured out how to get it back down.
He's usually such a happy boy when he wakes up.
I had to get his chunky thighs on film. He has exploded over the last month. He is now wearing 3-6 month clothes and is almost out growing those as well.
On the 31st my sister Janny sent me this picture while I was at work. He's holding his own bottle!!! I almost cried. He can't be getting that big can he? I love the stage he is in now, but he seems to be growing so quickly that I feel like I might miss something when I am away.

He looks adorable in them and as fat as ever.
