"Luna"
There is a song on my player that is call "Luna" by the Smashing Pumpkins. This song reminds me of the first time Colby told me that he loved me. I remember the day like it was yesterday. This was back in the time of making tapes... what a long time ago! Does the new generation even know they existed? We were lying on the floor of the living room making a tape from Colby's Smashing Pumpkin CD. To make the tape, you had to put in a blank tape, start the CD and then press record on the tape player. Anyway, to make a long story short, when "Luna" came on Colby told me that this was his song dedicated to me! I was like 15 at the time so I was so impressed that he would have thought about that. Everytime I listen to it I can picture us making the tape and being so in love. Luckily, we have just grown together more each day. I'm grateful for our wonderful marriage!

Our Remodeled Room
Colby and I have currently been living in his parents basement while we are both full-time students. This has been a different living arrangement than we are used to but we are grateful to be able to do so. Since the room we were going to move into was a little dated, we pulled up the carpet and decided that we wanted to stain the concrete floor. It was a tedious process but I think the end result is beautiful! I am grateful also that Colby is so willing to tackle projects like these and is able to do them well. He put many hours of sweat equity into this room and he needs to be recognized for it!
Here are a few before and after photos of his wonderful craftsmanship
Evidence of hard (and messy) work!
