Without fail, whenever I am cooking dinner, both kids will come and sample everything I am cutting up. Ava especially loves when I cut celery. She eats a whole stalk every time.

A friend at Colby's work loaned him a Nintendo 64 and Zelda and he was sucked in. As you can see, all the of the kids were too. This is why we won't be the owners of a gaming system any time soon.

Ava's Hair Before and After

Since Ava cut her hair so late at night we had to wait until the next day to get it fixed. She was so excited to get a haircut but was bummed when she found out that I couldn't do Elsa braids on her hair anymore. I asked her if she wanted me to cut it short, like above her shoulders or keep it long and she said she wanted to keep it long. The hairdresser cut the length to match the longest cut part and put it a bunch of layers. It brought her hair up a good 3-4 inches and cut off a lot of her natural curls, but luckily she still has some left. I love my beautiful girl and am so glad that people are talented enough to fix things like that. I'm so glad that it was an easy fix and that she didn't cut her hair more. It really could have been a lot worse.

Ava's Hack Job

I got this picture from Colby while I was at work and my heart sank. I felt so many emotions at once. I was sad/mad/angry/almost in tears. That's hair,,, all over the floor. I was just starting to be able to pull it all back and do fun things with it. Colby had taken Atticus into his bedroom to feed him because he wasn't eating well with all the noise from the kids. He was only in there for 5 minutes or less and came out to find Ava like this. She pulled a chair over to the counter and climbed up and found our hidden scissors on top of the fridge. She told him that she wanted to cut off all her blonde hair. She really cut the right side and cut some huge chunks really short in the front so she has some patches that hit about an inch above her ear.She is still such a beauty, but I hope she doesn't do this again. My heart can't take it.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was amazing. Grandpa and Grandma White and Kacey came over and had a late breakfast with us. It was nice to be able to put Atticus down and to visit with family. Ava loved her Elsa wand and crown she got from Grandma and Grandpa  and Gavin loved his science kit. We are so blessed to live so close to family.

Santa spoiled us this year. Gavin got his mp3 player and headphones he'd been wanting and Ava got a color changing pony and Elsa shoes. They each got a new comforter and nerf guns from us and lots and lots of Legos. Atticus got new toys from us and Santa that he had a blast with.
