October Happenings and Gavin's Blessing Weekend

I can't believe it's already been 5 weeks since this little guys came into our lives. We have been enjoying him and getting used to the routine of having him in our home. It's been great and I just now finally feel like I am starting to get the hang of being a mom. Here a few photos of what we've been up to.

Gavin and Kiara (My cousin Magen's baby)

Gavin wanted to snuggle with Kiara and give her loves... he is good at that!

Gavin and his cousin Jackson (My sister-in-law Cori's Baby).

Jackson is just about 5 months in this picture and a chunky monkey. We are excited to have these two so close.

Gavin's Halloween costume from his Auntie Leah.

(He was/is still in newborn clothes so we couldn't find an actual costume this year)

Gavin, Jackson and Hinckley Bess.

Gavin looks so tiny compared to those two big boys, but I guess he should since he was only 10 days old!

Loving that hair!

Gavin enjoying his naptime. We all enjoy naptime!

Look at those big feet!

Gavin ready for his first walk with mom. He pretty much feel asleep right away.

Colby gave a great blessing and Gavin did such a great job!

It was great as a wife to see my husband using his priesthood to bless our child. I love that we each have different and important responsibilities in our marriage.

Us with Anthony, Magen and Kiara.

We ended up having a double blessing of Kiara and Gavin on Saturday night. Almost all of our family members were able to make it. It was an amazing experience doing it in such a private setting. I am definetly going to do it like that for the rest of our children... it was such a spiritual experience.

Gavin ready to go home

It's been great being a mom and I have so much more respect for the mothers that I know. It's honestly been the hardest thing I have ever done, but it's been the most rewarding thing ever! I am so grateful that Gavin is such a good baby and has learned how to nurse properly. He is now 8 lbs 4 oz at one month from his 7 lb birthweight. The doctor said that he is gaining more weight than most babies so we might have a chunk on our hands soon. If so I am going to miss those little chicken legs!
