1st Attempt at Potty Training

We attempted potty training with Ava today and it was a flop. She was definitely not ready and peed 3 times, once right on me. We'll wait a few months and try again. Hopefully we'll have more success and she'll be ready to wear her big girl undies.

Date With A Kitty Cat

While the boys went out shooting guns, Ava and I went to Einstein on a little date. She was insistent on dressing up like a kitty cat and made everyone's day. It was fun to spend some one on one time with my super fun, cutie pie.

Little Bums

Sick Days

On our way home from Mesquite Gavin spiked a temperature of 102. Colby, being the awesome dad he is, was worried enough that he took the kids into the Dr the next day after we had trouble controlling it during the night because he suspected the flu. Sure enough, Gavin tested positive for Influenza A. The Dr wrote prescriptions for the Tamiflu for the whole family and we kept a close eye on Ava and when she started to get feverish we got it on board immediately. She didn't get too bad but Gavin, even with meds on board, had a fever so high on Wednesday night that we asked Jason Summerhayes, our awesome neighbor, to come help Colby give him a blessing. During the blessing his temperature dropped from almost 105 to 101 in a matter of a few minutes. I know the Lord blessed us and healed Gavin, especially because with that significant of a temperature drop he should have had seizures but didn't. His temperature remained low grade from then on so we ventured outside for some much needed sun. I'm so grateful for amazing priesthood holders and the blessing we receive from a loving Heavenly Father. I'm also thankful Ava's flu symptoms were mild and Colby and I didn't get it. Sadly, Alexis, who was with us in Mesquite, got it. Luckily she healed quickly with the meds on board
