Guess what we found when we were packing out things to spend the Christmas weekend at Colby's parents house....

I think Santa forgot to bring something to Connor!

He ran into a friend and knocked out his two front teeth.

Luckily they were baby teeth.

Hyrum/Provo Trip

Because we weren't able to spend Thanksgiving in Hyrum like we planned we decided to travel up in December while Colby was on his break. It worked out perfectly because the White's were having a Christmas party in Draper on Sunday and his friend Zach was having a birthday party in Provo on Saturday.

Gavin slept pretty much the whole trip, except when we pulled over to feed him. We made pretty good time considering he needed to eat every 2-2 1/2 hours.

Two Months

Gavin,

I can't believe it's already been two whole months since you've come into our lives. You've grown so much! You are now a whopping 10 lbs 12.5 oz, 3 lb 12.5 oz more than when you were born. You're starting to get a double chin and rolls on your little legs. You're finally outgrowing your newborn clothes and are even starting to fill out your 0-3 month clothes. Dr. Kaddu says that you are gaining weight really quickly and are bigger than most babies your age who were born with your birth weight.

You got your shots today and cried harder than you ever have. You're such a good baby and you only cry when you really need to, like when your hungry, tired or want to keep eating. You never cry when you have a dirty diaper, so it's sometimes hard to remember to change because you are such a great baby.

You have the cutest, most infectious smile ever that lights up your whole face! You are very generous with it and especially love to give it to mom during your late night feeding. I think you know how much mom loves her sleep and that she needs a little nudge to appreciate how special it is to spend so much time with you, even if it's really late. You also love to smile just before you spit up, so you are already a little trickster, just like your daddy!

You love to open and close your hands and are learning how to stick out your tongue and do it over and over again. We love all of the little faces you pull and love the smiles you make while you are sleeping. We could watch you all day, and do so as much as we can. You're also quite the noise maker. You make the cutest sounds and coos. You love to talk and are getting really good at it.

You're hair is still the topic of conversation when people see you. They can't believe how much is there and how blonde it is. You look so handsome all the time, but especially when you have a little fohawk in the front. It gives you at least two inches in height because it's so long.

You are starting to recognize objects and are trying to interact with them, like your toys hanging on your bouncer. You are starting to love to look at colors, not just black and white like a few weeks ago. Just the other day you spent quite some time talking to the Christmas tree. You can follow objects around the room and entertain yourself for a little while.

You wake us up every morning between 4 or 5 with your grunts and noises, even though you're still asleep. We're definitely going to work on that. You only wake up once during the night to feed, but you're such a night owl and will usually never go to bed before 10. Hopefully in the next couple of months we can have you sleeping through the night and in your own room, but we'll see how that goes. You're favorite thing to do when you wake up in the morning and get out of your swaddle blanket is to stretch and toot like a grown man. You scare youself sometimes because they are so loud. You crack us up on a regular basis.

You love to get in the bath and have started to get upset when we take you out. Your dad is so happy that you love the water and he is already planning on taking you to the ocean when you're a little older. He's excited to have a fish for a son. He is so in love with you and can't wait to take you on all of his adventures that he has planned. You love being outside already so we are both excited for the fun things we get to do with you soon.

You've definitely brought out the best in us and we are so madly in love with you! Thanks so much for being our little man!

Love,
Mom
